Chicago Origin Shield - International connectivity issue

We recorded a network issue with the Chicago origin shield region that affected connectivity towards certain destinations. To prevent issues, we temporarily re-routed traffic to a different region. Once the issue was resolved, we re-routed traffic back to the Chicago region.

The issue lasted for approximately 45 minutes.

We are currently investigating how to better detect this automatically in the future by implementing the Origin Shield into our SmartHop routing system.
